Hey guys started a new save with fiorentina need some help with players. Sold ilicic to raise money I've 14m to spend and need a rb an amc as back up and a back up winger for bernadeschi and chiesa. Can't sign non eu players as teams has it's quota for the season. Any help appreciated.

How online game saving works
If I have played online with someone but wasn't the host am I able to acquire the save file for our game?
Also, in order to use the fm genie scout 17 in online games do you need to be the host of the game in order to do so, if not, how would do you go about doing this?

FM18 Championship Online Game

How will you utilize the new fm18 player roles?
I am very intrigued by the Carrilero and Mezzala roles... I have always wanted to recreate this SLB side.
I am thinking of using one Mezzala (DiMaria) and one Carrilero (Ramires), and pairing an inverted wing back on the Mezzala side and a complete wing back on attack on the Carrilero side.
I would set the DM as an anchorman or halfback, with a central defender and ball playing defender behind him.
In the front 3, I would go with a TMS, with a DLFA and TQA supporting him.
I also think the Mezzala/IWBs will be useful in recreating this seasons Man City. Silva and De Bruyne are always finding themselves out wide and those wingbacks are alway underlapping to be beside Fernandinho.
I'm not all that jazzed about the inverted winger, it seems like an inside forward for the midfield band, which is nice, but not useful to me in my usual tactics.
I am kind of intrigued by the Segunda Volante, especially in playing a 352 w no strikers... I would use two wing backs, with a SV on attack, a roaming playmaker and either an anchorman or ball winning mid in front of the back 3 (two bpdx and a libero if playing a 1man attack, or two bpdd and a sweeper if playing a two man attack- when using the linero, the anchorman plays to his weak side foot and the rpms is in the middle, if set as a sweeper, anchorman goes in the middle)... then up top a Shadow Striker and an Enganche.
I've had some success with that 3520 using a bwms with all the go forward, dribble options ticked alongside the roaming playmaker and anchorman. beimg able to use the sva will be nice, and get him a bit more forward, hopefully.
Would love to hear how you guys want to use these new roles.

An alternative take on Chelsea's 352...
Sorry, on my phone so no screenshots... but here goes.
When tinkering with the 352 that Chelsea and Arsenal seem to be favoring, I recalled that a few years back 'tilted' diamonds were popular in FM... so I tried to apply the logic here.
Rather than 3 central defenders, I set up w 2 centerbacks and a right FB. The LCB was a BPDX (Cahill), the RCB was a BPDC (Luiz). The RB was set as a LFBD (Azcuilapeta), but eventually I went with FBS with some defensive minded ticks in the role screen.
I set up with a LWB (Alonso) as a WB attack, staying wide and running with the ball wide.
I used two central mids, a BWMS (Matic) set up with gets forward more, dribbles more and passes more directly) on the left and a BWMS (Kante) set the same but in the DMR slot.
I set up Moses on the RM slot as a DWS with gets forward more often.
Hazard set up in AML, as an IFS, pretty typical. I set the other attacking mid (Willian or Cesc) as a AMRC as an AMA with all the attacking options ticked- gets forward, finds channels, dribbles and shoots more.
The striker I set as ain the center left spot as a DFS so he would press hard... if it was Costa, I set it up with hold up ball, shoot more and dribbles more... if a smaller less strong player, I set it up as a DFS with finds channels, roaming more, dribbles and shoots more.

Granted, I was using Chelsea, but I had a solid run, taking the league and winning the Europa Cup after falling out of the CL.
I recreated it w Arsenal, flip flopping it using Bellarin in the Alonso role and Monreal in the Azpilicueta role. Similar results, 3rd in league, played in FA cup and Europa League finals...
Obviously what jumped out is the struggle with the CL in both saves. Not being a huge fan of either sides, I got bored after the first season, so not sure if that was an abberation or not.
I did turn the deeper BWM into a RPS or DLPS if needed... both seemed to not make a huge difference positionally, or results wise.
When looking at player positioning after matches, if I tilt my head it really does look a proper 3421.
(for team instructions, I had standard, fluid, pressing maxed out, playing highest up the pitch, close down gk, get stuck in, cross early, and plays one tick from norrowest).

Recently discovered how much fun this team are to manage. Pretty good starting squad, 20m to spend and no work permits in Ukrainian football make them a very enjoyable team to manage. Signed 7 young South American players including Rodrigo Bentacur, Luan Garcia Teixeira and Marcos Vinicius. Vinicius in particular is an exceptional player especially when it only costs 4m to sign him. Looking forward to hopefully seeing you guys share your experiences managing this team.

I've been playing FM since 2011 but this is my first time to share my tactic. It is a fantastic 4-1-2-2-1 wide.
Great possession (usually above 57%), solid at the back and wonderful upfront.

Fantasy - Andromeda League 2017/2018 TBA
Welcome to the fantasy league of Andromeda!
This is a custom database, with fictional players in fictional teams creating a whole new country with 2 leagues for you to play in!
Why should I play this?
A new horizon.
The Andromeda League adds a whole new "realm" of football bringing to you two whole new divisions with new players for you to explore and dominate in order to increase your managers hall of fame.
What is the competition reality?
RRS - Rich, rough and supreme.
The best division in the world! With above world class players increasing the level of world football quality, and constantly requiring your best as manager season after season to keep on top. A completely invested country with top teams being the richest in the world, allow you to constantly season after season be able to bring the best and your favourite players to your team.
What else is there in it?
A world of its own!
Push yourself to the limit as manager by putting yourself in an unknown reality which you must explore. The richest and greatest country in the world requires itself to live on, you can only play with Andromedian players. Take the best out of your ability to identify qualities and create charateristics in order to bring the best out of these players in accordance to your game plans.
It sounds fun? Where do I start?
Andromeda League is a two person project and it has been so for long. Constant developing in what started in early 2016 as a long term project, the Andromeda world is finally starting to see the light of day as the release of this project is almost here! But there's still a lot to do. In order to make history you must have history, details such as Players History, alongside fantasy managers, and some youngsters are still missing in order to make the database complete. Also some little details are still ment to be corrected. If everything goes as planned the database will be realized before 10/11

You will be able to, as there are still players and staff to create, we are not just open to your participation as we actually want you to play a role in this database! Best Tactic For 2017
With FM2018 just round the corner whats peoples views and most success full tactic they have used for Fm17
How do you like to set up your tactic i.e Being Solid at the back and controlling the game

When i am looking around at tactics i look for how many games lost in the season and goals conceded to me is building a solid base then upon that the goals will flow the more fluid it becomes

First FM 18 story save from the start
So thinking about starting first with story save some kind. Havent done it before, will give a try.
Assess players before fm comes out and then see what we can work there.
Thinking about doing it with Leeds United and turning first transfer window closed.
