Formation
So I was going through some older tactics from fm16 and came across a very successfull deep 442 which I had edited from someone else last year - I remember it clearly and I never published it as far as I remember - but why I remember it was becourse it accumulated more points than anything out their using testing templates by a certain Norweegan guy - yea the same templates that I think should be taken very lightly - but I don't wanna talk about that as its completely unrelated to this tactic - I plugged the TAC in and it was horrible for fm17 :D - Then I got an idea that both includes something old and something new.
The good old Widemidfielders and the really solid mentality from fm17 the counter style which I see as something new and solid.
The roles however are roles that are based on how well they work - how the barca players perform in these roles - if you scroll down their is a performance chart where you can see how well the players did in this test save - with this tactic.
I have done 100's of tests with this team and analyzed every match - their among the first match of the season Real Madrid - also one of the toughest opponents in the game. I don't care about losing that game - I care about not beeing dominated in terms of shots against - ofcourse its always nice to see whenever you are dominating them - that's when its really time to replay that match to make out a tendency :D
The BWM-Support in the DMC strata for me was the biggest surprise of them all here - cause I haven't seen them perform like this before - over the course of the season that is - made me very happy - and I have to admit I will try that out in other tactics to see how that works.
Widemids - Work above expectation - surely simular to fm16 - scores alot - assist alot.
Messi and the F9 role performed in such a way I haven't seen him do before - he definitely pushed himself to the limit scoring a whooping 69 goals. In an F9 role I normally see Messi perform more between 40-50 a season - doing that role
Suarez however - playing in the CF-Attack role dissapointed me - but that's only becourse I have seen him score 85+ goals before - so I know - that is possible - 50+ is still decent.
I think the defence did decent - but in reality if I was the manager of Barcelona I would get different central defenders - It surely wasn't 2 conceeded like in my Ajax save - so its hard to be to satisfied with that - feel free to see if you can tweak that :)
League Table
Performance
If you are wondering about the amount of matches the players played - I can tell you everytime their was an injury I had to save that player and everytime their was a suspension player was saved - I always use the same players in order to compare performances with other tactics I've tested out - but I always manage - its very time consuming I know and at times I'm bored out of my skull - but it gives me a chance to analyze what's going on with the tendency - So between every match I rest the players in between games 2 or 3 days in order to accumulate condition between 93-96% most often - So its a real game experience like it should be.

The above screenshot refers to how I train when the tactic is 100% fluid - till the end of the season - It should help you develop your players real good - I will say if you are a real big underdog you probably want to go defensive positioning
NO OI's Used
If you wanna know how to get fluid at preseason - do the following:
Team cohesion - high intensity - 50% - rest unticked - match preparation tactic
- arrange 8+ friendlies - add tactic to all 3 slots on the tactic screen
Individual training
GK - GK schedule or Sweeper keeper schedule + Positioning or Agility
BPD - BPD schedule + quickness
FB's - Complete Wingback schedule + quickness
BWM's - BWM's - longshot
Widemids - Inside forward schedule + agility
F9 - F9 + quickness
CF - Trequartista + quickness or dribbling
Don't ask me for attributes - look at the training schedule - it gives you the information you'll need - in case you do ask I will refer you to the opening post.
I don't know how well this one will go with an average team - and playing in high level leagues like the premier league or some world DB where all the big teams play in the same league for the championship - its hard to say. I'm a firm believer though - that with player quality you should succeed anywhere.
In post number 2 I will share your results - for everyone to read & analyze - so feel free to give this one a go.
According to some oracle who calls himself David Meade - saids the world is about to end :D - David Meade have predicted that we are going to be hit by a rogue planet Saturday the 23rd of September 2017 - Sooo... - if that happens this is kind of a - end of the world tactic :D and that is also why I have to say - enjoy it while it lasts :) - you have a day trying it out :D

History
First of all a brief history of the club before I explain why I chose them.
1990 K Beerschot VAC is playing in belguim. But because of bad financial management they go togheter with Germinal Ekeren.
1999 Germinal Beerschot is created. In 2005 they win the belguim cup.
In 2010/11 there comes a new chairman, they change names again "Beerschot AC".
Once again due to financial dismanagement the club is bankrupt and cease to exist.
Here our story begins.
KFCO Wilrijk is a club in belgium founded in 1922 and peaked with playing in the belguim first division.
After years they ended up in the first regional division in belguim, playing on the same practice fields as Beerschot.
In 2013 the supporters of Beerschot had to look out for a new club to support. Many supporters now went to see Wilrijk.
Beerschot and Wilrijk played just a few 100 meters from eachother (when beerschot still existed). Because of the thousands of Beerschot supporters going to watch Wilrijk,Wilrijk decided to take the Beerschot into their club.
In 2013 KFCO Wilrijk changed it's name to KFCO Beerschot-Wilrijk and also integrated it's colours.
Due to high attendencee (7000) the club could take over the old Beerschot venue.
They had an average attendencee of 7000,peaking at 12.000 and having an average away game attendencee of 1000 supporters.
They became champions in 1st regional as they started their conquest towards belguim's first division.
They were now in the 4th division of belguim once again hitting amazing amounts of attendencee.
At the end of the season the 2nd consecutive title was a fact. KFCO B-W once again promoted.
3rd Divsion was once again another victim in the Conquest to Belguim's first division.
Getting ready to get to the 2nd Division, Belguim's league system reformed (will explain it later).
We once again had to play in the same league (3rd Division) which was now called 1st Amateur Division.
Once again we lifted our Trophy and got promoted to the Jupiler Pro League 1B (2nd Division). (2016-2017 season)
We won the league 4 consecutive years and are now very close to our goal of getting back to the Jupiler Pro League 1A (Belguim's 1st Division).
At this moment KFC B-W is still unbeaten this season in the league and are first.
Why KFCO Beerschot-Wilrijk?
They are my favorite team in Belguim and I have been supporting them since 2005. I have seen them win the Belgian cup and have seen them go down due to poor financial management.
There is no greater honor for me to build on this story even if it's virtual.
Also one of the reasons I want to play with them is because we once produced real talents like Jan Vertonghen, Moussa Dembele, Vermaelen, Alderweireld.
Oh and remember Victor Wanyama? I still got a shirt from Beerschot with his signature on.

In every save i have high amount penalties from defensive set pieces ( not corners ) against me. Any solution? Tried deff set pieces as match training but that didnt help

I'm another one of those people who's life has been ruined by football manager. I could have played the piano really well if I had put all those hours into learning to play that but I wasted my time attending to imaginary people on a spreadsheat.
It all started for me with ancestor Championship Manager 2 where I remember coaching Middlesboro and bringing mighty Wrexham to the premier league. There weren't so many players so you'd often bump into the same players which you bought because they were sure bets. I also played Championship Manager 1997/1998 where I coached my home team ajax a lot and maybe ipswich. i think I also had a great team with Manchester City who played a kind of 4-3-3 with bebeto in it and a bunch of star players. I remember buying a player for dirt cheap and he became like the next Ronaldo ( the one without hair). To be honest it hasn't happened like that ever again but then again maybe football manager is a bit more complicated and realistic.
I've been playing Football manager since 2010, often managing my home team ajax trying to emulate the beautiful game they played in the late nineties. I had a really great run in Football manager 2014 with AC Milan winning the UEFA cup playing van Gaal's 5-3-2. Emanuelson played as a wingback and Jordan Rhodes and balotelli played as complete forwards. I think that's my greatest achievement in football manager and maybe the best i can be right now without understanding more about the game.
More recently I've had succes with wolves and Inter Milan in football manager 2015. I bought Sinclair from Liverpool and he did awesome as a false nine supported by two inside forwards. I'm not much of a tactical genius though. I like the man management and organizational part of the game and steal the best tactics online basically. Right now I'm working with Sacchi's ideas and trying to learn to play more compact and get better to take on bigger teams.
I hope this forum can help me with that. I have yet to win the Champions League.

I'm a newbie here reporting himself and I'd like to explain the project I'm working on, because I'm looking for some help, too.
Here's the thing: I'm developing a DB for FM08 with legends or classic footballers. I have created among 700 and 800 different players, most of them, about 500, in the Spanish Liga. The other 200 or 300 players are legends from different periods (i.e., English players: Bobby Charlton, Peter Shilton, Bobby Moore, Kevin Keagan, Gordon Banks, Stanley Matthews, Dixie Dean, Duncan Edwards, Bert Trautmann, Gary Lineker, etc.)
If someone wants me to make the DB available in this forum, just let me know. It'd be my pleasure.
I'm searching to create all-time squads for the most important teams in each country. In Spain, I selected the 20 best teams, i.e. Currently, I'm working on doing the same in England. Picking the most important teams and develop an all-time squad for each of them. By now, I choosed players for eight different teams: Arsenal, Chelsea, Leeds Utd., Leicester, Liverpool, Manchester Utd., Nottingham Forest and Tottenham Hotspur.
But there're two main issues:
Firstly, I don't really know how to calculate the CA/PA values, both in Spain and England, and in the case of the legends as well (except for the most important ones, like Pelé or Maradona, whom I gave them 195 and 200 points in each category).
Secondly, I don't have a reliable knowledge about the English football history, so to say. I'm learning a lot about former players, by the way. But I could use some help if someone's gives me a hand.
I'll post the squads of the English teams I've mentioned before in the next few days.

but 'attack' mentality is surely better for more goals.
You can change 'Advanced forward' to 'Trequartista' if you have suitable player to trequartista.
Corner kicks : MCR or MCL
General team training : Let assistant manager handle it.
Pre-match team training : Match tactic or Set-piece defence. (as you wish)
Indivisual trainings : as the same rolls they do.
