Areas to exploit

So for example I'm playing Sevilla in my next match, they're playing 3-4-3 DM wide, and they're focus of attacks for last match was central.

if a team's focus is central, do I exploit the middle or go to the wings? The same question too for when the team focuses on the wings..

cheers.

Monaco Transfers 2. season replacements

I have bids pending on Bernardo Silva (100 mill £) and Fabinho (60 mill £), And was wondering who to get as replacements?

Im think Domenico Beradi (20 mill £) and Corentin Tolisso (on loan from R.Madrid)

The transfer strategy is to buy cheap and sell for profit.

VOLLEYBALL - BECOME A KNIGHT! 2-4-3-1 INSANE RESULT !

Welcome to my second tactic post!

This tactic has just blown my mind and of course i will share this gem with all of you !

the formation is pretty simple: 2-4-3-1 with 3 shadow strikers, 1 advanced forward and so on....

Training must be offensive, but if you are manageing a very low rated team, i recommend defensive training instead.

Me and my mate has tested this tactic with 2 teams .

Kolding if from denmark - a 3 tire team - promotion every single season, and even beated the big boys in the trophy tournament

Nykøbing if - at this stage of the team, it's rated as a mid table Primer league team. - we won the trible ( Danish league, trophy, and the Euro league final ( we got knockout in chl and then i start useing this tactic )

OI are shown on the pictures!

Please give this tactic ago, let me know how it works for you

I KNOW THAT THE PICTURES ARE SHOWN WITH DANISH LANGUAGE, BUT YOU CAN STILL LOOK AT THE RESULT AND JUDGE IT

As a young boy growing up in London and supporting Newcastle, I wasn't often able to go and watch my favourite team play, that was unless they were away against my local team Charlton.

As a passionate football fan from a very young age, I would often go to regular matches to see 'The Addicks' play, whether it be a Premier League game on a Saturday or a late night Championship game on a Wednesday night.

I have never officially been a supporter of Charlton but I have always had a huge soft spot for them and I would be chuffed if they ever made it back to the promised land rather than yo-yoing between the 2nd and 3rd tier of English football.

Until then I shall have to settle with trying to get the club back to the Premiership myself, it won't be easy but I am looking forward to giving it a go.

The club has a pretty decent infrastructure, although the running of the club both on and off the pitch has been pretty piss poor in the last decade or so. Finances are pretty bleak and despite their distinctly average performances in the league over the past few years we are touted to finish 2nd.

We have a decent squad at present, although the majority of players are yet to reach their potential. There does also seem to be worrying lack of quality in several positions, 3 of our best 7 players are centre forwards and there is only one natural wide defender (Solly) who appears in our top 20 players list.

A very good defender for this league, although he will be injured throughout our preseason which could hamper his season.

I have edited every thing to be like next season IRL, I have done promotions, relegations, expired contracts and all confirmed transfers to date.

I have £16 Million to spend with £80K in wages free.

As I've done updates,I now have Begovic. I'm looking threw the team and just see a few weak areas that need sorting out.

I'd like recommendations for players to fit these roles...

Centre Back-Defend

Centre Back- Defend

Centre Midfielder -Defend

AML- Winger

Journey man, mercenary and director of football.

So this save has it all for me, first off I will not play any games I will holiday them all not playing any part of match day. All I do is the transfers of players and staff. I am starting without any qualifications and playing experience and also without a job. My assistant manager will manage all aspects of match day including press conferences and picking the team. I may set up 3 tactics/formations for the team to train as but we will see.

Hello fellow nerds. A friend of mine asked if I could make an updated version of RaumdeuterParty a tactic that performed really well in FM16(I made the tactic in an Ajax save). So i started working on it and I think I just created my new favourite tactic. It's not gegenpressing or extreme high tempo, it's a more balanced tactic with some clear tactical patterns and a striker that will bang in goals! Right now i'm testing it with Silkeborg IF in the danish superliga. Media predicted 14 or of 14. Right now we're top of the league with 5 wins and 1 loss. Beating the teams that were media predicted 2 and 3 on the way. No transfers. Here's the overall formation.

About the roles
Sweeper Keeper. Nothing special to say. I just prefer this keeper role. He distributes to the fullbacks.
Training:Sweeper Keeper

Fullbacks. Needs pace and decent crossing abilities and it's a plus if he's not a moron defensively. PPMs. Gets forward whenever possible. Looks for pass instead of attempt to score. Likes one-twos
Training: Complete wingback+pace or crossing

Central Defender: I prefer no nonsense CBs here, big and strong. Doesnt have to be ball players at all. PPMs Mark man tight and stays back at all time.
Training: Ball playing defender

Regista: The left one has get further forward ticked on unlike the right one, so look at him as the more offensive. The registas are the hardbeat of the team so they need to very versatile and dynamic. Good on the ball, dribble, vision etc but it's also vital that they have defensive skills. Maybe have one of them to be kinda dominant in the air. Seems to work with my team. PPMs I like for this position is runs with ball through the middle, dictates tempo, tries killerball often, get into opposition area(for the left regista). Dwells on ball(for the right regista).
Training: I actually prefer training them as roaming playmakers and maybe add tackle or heading.

Enganche. I tried different roles for this position, and none of them really clicks. I chose the enganche role as it seems to get the ball flowing the best way possible. PPMs. Tries killerball often. Places shots. Curls ball.
Training: Enganche or advanced playmaker. Depends on the attributes of the player used. Pace is not important at all here but passing and vision is.
Any inputs on this position/role change is most welcome

Raumdeuters. They cut inside to make room for the fullbacks and they almost act like playmakers drifting in from the flank. They get on the end of a fair amount of crosses, so besides the obvious important raumdeuter attributes, I think its key that they're good in the air as well. PPMs. Cuts inside from left or right flank. Curls ball. Places shots. Likes one-twos. Run into channels. Runs with ball can be good as well.
Training: Raumdeuter or advanced playmaker+finishing or heading.

Advanced Forward. Your goalscoring machine. Think of him as target man/complete forward. PPMs. Shoots first time. Shoots with power. Comes deep to get ball. Runs into channels.
Training:Complete forward.

Match preparation: Defensive positioning, offensive movements and team cohesion. I switch these three.
General training: Assistant manager
OIs: NO OIs

When you're the huge underdog you might want to consider changing to counter or defensive. Other tweaks are changing right regista to an anchorman and also you might want to consider changing the enganche to a shadowstriker or advanced playmaker(support). Works as well depending on your teams strenghts and weaknesses.

FMT- Tactics and help for Touch Football Manager

Yesterday i decided to make a comeback to FM, and went for the FM-touch on iPad but I'm struggling to

make any tactic work. Does anyone have a decent tactic that can be used with Chelsea or with an mid-

table club ?

Any advice or suggestions ?
:)

- Ive looked at Langvatns tactic tester website and this forum. Seems like no one makes anything spesifically for the FM-Touch.

- Maybe someone got some suggestion about bargains after the latest update, who to go for on a new game?

Hi all.

Would someone like to be a Good Samaritan and do me a favour? Could they kindly take screenshots from the updated (17.3?) editor - the player pages, ranked by CA (just the first team is good, I don't need the youth teams). I just want to see how everyone is rated from the following clubs, and I don't have access to the game on this computer.

Tottenham
Arsenal
Man Utd
Man City
Liverpool
Chelsea
Everton
Real Madrid
Barcelona
Atl. Madrid
Juventus
Roma
Napoli
PSG
Monaco
Bayern
Dortmund

I know this will probably take someone half an hour or so, but I'd be extremely grateful.

Cheers!

What Im trying to achieve:

I have just started a save with QPR and am attempting to create my own tactic for the first time after previously using plug and plays. I wanted to play a 4-2-3-1 with the following ideas in mind:

Centre Backs on Defend - Nothing special, just there to do the job.

Full backs on Support - I want them to support the build up of play and be there as an option to pass to. The reason for not using Attack is because I feel like they will leave me way too exposed at the back.

Centre Midfielder on Defend with PI's (Fewer Risky Passes) - want him to keep it simple and lay it off to a more creative player whilst staying further back to help defend on counter attacks.

Deep Lying Playmaker on Support - The playmaker of my team, want him to spray balls out wide, to the AM or try and play through balls. Also want him to be back when we are defending.

Attacking Midfielder on Attack - Want this guy in on the goals. Want him to attack the crosses that the full backs/wingers provide and also play through balls etc.

Deep Lying Forward on Attack - Want him to get on the end of crosses, hold up the ball when necessary while waiting for others to get forward.

Wingers on Attack/Support - I want these guys to be my main attacking threat. I Want lots and lots of crosses and these guys to be racking up the assists.

How I tried to Implement this:

Name:	FM formation.png
Views:	8
Size:	1.48 MB
ID:	1117615

The above is the way I setup the team in an attempt to do what I wanted it to do. First 5 or 6 games it looked positive but now I am just getting slaughtered. A lot of goals I concede either come from set pieces, or the opposition getting wide, my centre back coming out to close down and leaving me exposed when the cross comes in. I tried so much to stop my centre backs doing this by telling them to close down less etc but nothing worked. Going forward, a lot of the time we did what I wanted but it was just very inconsistent. I have thrown a lot of leads away, what I would normally do if I went a goal up and saw them go more attacking was to switch to structured and try and exploit the space when they get forward. Im not sure whether this was right or a wrong thing to do.

Final Comments

Sorry about the long post. I want to be able to understand the flaws in my tactic and whether or not im doing the right thing and improvements I can make. Ive provided as much info as I can to try and let you know what im trying to achieve. Any help would be much appreciated!

so i recently got FM17 and i am really struggling with buying players. Alot of the clubs i want to do don't have the biggest of transfers budgets but are still fairly big teams in big leagues. because of this reason i feel like i need to buy first team players in order to succeed but cant do so due to the transfer budget. so i was wondering if buying young 16,17,18 year old for cheap would help me right away or would it just affect me.

EDITOR - PLEASE HELP - Canadian League doesn't classify to Champions Cup

Hi guys.
Actually my problem comes since from previous versions of FM. I created 3 divisions for an hypothetical canadian League, even with logos, and everything else, the way I wanted. However, when I do it, the canadian teams don't qualify for continental cup and I've got one more problem: the canadian cup is happening only once each two years instead of yearly. I spent many days to make this league and teams and I would really appreciate if someone could help to fix this issue on Editor.
Thank you so much.

I will be taking a journey into the unknown attempting to make £100 via a music review site called Slicethepie. I will be starting from £2.49 (because i had already made some reviews beforehand) and working my way up to the desired £100. I should note i made that £2.49 in about 1 hour and that was with being as slow as a goldfish. Each review at the minute is paying me around about 8p. Each review takes around 2-3 minutes to complete and is very easy to use.

I will be updating every day maybe twice a day to inform you of how i am getting on providing screenshots and tips on earning a lot of money without paying a single penny.

If you want to join me on my journey and do it yourself use this referral code as you and I will both earn an extra 10%.

Hi guys. Over the many years playing FM, I have 9.9 times out of 10 used one of the may different tactics on this forum. I started a game back in December which I am still playing now and decided to finally make my own tactic. I am currently in the 2031/32 season with a squad capable of winning the EPL with a tactic that was thrown together, like mine. I am no tactic expert, far from it in fact. I was wondering if anyone will test my tactic and give me a little advice on where to improve. Im doing ok, but i feel it need improving to become more consistent.

As you can see its yet another 3 at the back tactic. I have been using Zyndars OI's and now trying it without OI's. Training I have been using Balanced - Average, Att movement.

Any help or advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a way to search players you've sold with Buy Back Clauses?....

$

Afternoon Guys,

As the title suggests i'm currently looking to see if there's a way of searching for possible sold players to find they're buy out clause? On my current save in year 2022/23 i have been wheeling and dealing in charge of a big club and signing numerous youth and selling some that i didn't think would quite make it all with buy back clauses in there contract now because there is so many I've moved on i'm looking to sort through them and see if there's any i can cherry pick back and re sign now they've improved? I know this might seem quite unsportsmanlike but it's an idea i've been progressing with for a while so really i'm just looking to see if there's a possible way to search through a shortlist for all players that have buy back clauses?

Many thanks in advance

Matt
