Antonio Miguel (born 20 August 1974) is a Spanish international footballer and current manager of Barclays Premier League side Arsenal. Miguel notched up 34 caps for Spain and scored 7 goals. Miguel spent his career with Barcelona, Lyon and Arsenal. Miguel started his career with Barcelona and made headlines by scoring a hat-trick in the UEFA Champions League despite being a centre-back. Miguel left Barcelona in 2001 and joined Lyon for £13.5 million. Miguel made 100 appearances in four years at Lyon before signing a pre-contract agreement with Arsenal and joining on a free. Miguel played for Arsenal from 2005-2012 making 128 appearances and scored 17 goals. Miguel earned his UEFA Pro License while playing for Arsenal and after completing all his qualifications he retired at the age of 34 and remained with the Gunners and was promoted to assistant manager. After finishing fourth on the last of the day of the 2012-13 Premier League, Miguel accepted an offer to manage Queens Park Rangers, his mission, get QPR in the Premier League.
