The Rise of Mother Russia

In 1960 the mighty Soviet Union marched to EURO victory claiming the prize on the competitions debut, as the Eastern bloc dominated the beautiful game. However as the Soviet Union crumbled, their grip on World football soon began to fade.

It was another forty five years until Russia would taste footballing success again, with the glorious victory of CSKA Moscow seeing the Europa League pulled away from the clutches of Western Europe, with Zenit St Petersburg repeating their success just two years later.
Taking charge of both the Russian International team and the formidable powerhouse of CSKA Moscow, I hope to lead both to World Cup and Champions League glory resepctivley.

In order to make this more of a challenge I have opted to impose a "slight" Soviet rule upon myself, meaning I can only sign players from the former nations of the USSR or Eastern Europe.

With the likes of Rubin Kazan, Zenit and the new found riches of Anji Makhlachkala to compete against domestically, a golden chance to reclaim the Europa League at the first time of asking and a looming World Cup in Brazil to prepare for, I have no time to waste.
