Cross saving

I'm getting fm Classic Friday.

as I can use downloaded tactics on PC. How doses cross save work for the tactics ? I'm guessing the one I have picked copies but if I want another tactic I need to load PC Classic load the save pick new tactic then cross save it back ?

Same with the pre set scout formats
