I have been working on making matches a more immersive experience with a new sound pack, and have given the game a latin feel as I'm currently managing in the Spanish league. You get better goal celebrations, drums etc on build-ups, the ref gets called a whore if he messes up, and the ambient sound is full of horns, toots and claps. Might sound a bit odd in the Conference, of course...
This works in Steam versions but I haven't tested it in non-Steam games, nor can I help with instructions although they're probably similar save for the folder paths.
1. Go to program files (x86)/steam/steamapps/common/football manager 2014/data/events
2. Create a backup copy of the match_sounds file and put it somewhere safe.
3. Download this sound pack.
4. Unzip and place both folders in program files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/football manager 2014/data. The sounds folder will merge and the events folder will overwrite.
5. Play Football Manager, see what you think.
6. If you don't like it, move your backup match_sounds file back into the events folder, and delete the new sounds in the sound folder. Most files begin "spa_"
Note: Team specific chants no longer work, and nor it seems do player chants. Blame SI's shoddy negligence of the sound profiles since 2008.Any questions, please post here.
