Formation
So I was going through some older tactics from fm16 and came across a very successfull deep 442 which I had edited from someone else last year - I remember it clearly and I never published it as far as I remember - but why I remember it was becourse it accumulated more points than anything out their using testing templates by a certain Norweegan guy - yea the same templates that I think should be taken very lightly - but I don't wanna talk about that as its completely unrelated to this tactic - I plugged the TAC in and it was horrible for fm17 :D - Then I got an idea that both includes something old and something new.
The good old Widemidfielders and the really solid mentality from fm17 the counter style which I see as something new and solid.
The roles however are roles that are based on how well they work - how the barca players perform in these roles - if you scroll down their is a performance chart where you can see how well the players did in this test save - with this tactic.
I have done 100's of tests with this team and analyzed every match - their among the first match of the season Real Madrid - also one of the toughest opponents in the game. I don't care about losing that game - I care about not beeing dominated in terms of shots against - ofcourse its always nice to see whenever you are dominating them - that's when its really time to replay that match to make out a tendency :D
The BWM-Support in the DMC strata for me was the biggest surprise of them all here - cause I haven't seen them perform like this before - over the course of the season that is - made me very happy - and I have to admit I will try that out in other tactics to see how that works.
Widemids - Work above expectation - surely simular to fm16 - scores alot - assist alot.
Messi and the F9 role performed in such a way I haven't seen him do before - he definitely pushed himself to the limit scoring a whooping 69 goals. In an F9 role I normally see Messi perform more between 40-50 a season - doing that role
Suarez however - playing in the CF-Attack role dissapointed me - but that's only becourse I have seen him score 85+ goals before - so I know - that is possible - 50+ is still decent.
I think the defence did decent - but in reality if I was the manager of Barcelona I would get different central defenders - It surely wasn't 2 conceeded like in my Ajax save - so its hard to be to satisfied with that - feel free to see if you can tweak that :)
League Table
Performance
If you are wondering about the amount of matches the players played - I can tell you everytime their was an injury I had to save that player and everytime their was a suspension player was saved - I always use the same players in order to compare performances with other tactics I've tested out - but I always manage - its very time consuming I know and at times I'm bored out of my skull - but it gives me a chance to analyze what's going on with the tendency - So between every match I rest the players in between games 2 or 3 days in order to accumulate condition between 93-96% most often - So its a real game experience like it should be.
Training & OI
The above screenshot refers to how I train when the tactic is 100% fluid - till the end of the season - It should help you develop your players real good - I will say if you are a real big underdog you probably want to go defensive positioning

If you wanna know how to get fluid at preseason - do the following:
Team cohesion - high intensity - 50% - rest unticked - match preparation tactic
- arrange 8+ friendlies - add tactic to all 3 slots on the tactic screen
Individual training
GK - GK schedule or Sweeper keeper schedule + Positioning or Agility
BPD - BPD schedule + quickness
FB's - Complete Wingback schedule + quickness
BWM's - BWM's - longshot
Widemids - Inside forward schedule + agility
F9 - F9 + quickness
CF - Trequartista + quickness or dribbling
Don't ask me for attributes - look at the training schedule - it gives you the information you'll need - in case you do ask I will refer you to the opening post.
I don't know how well this one will go with an average team - and playing in high level leagues like the premier league or some world DB where all the big teams play in the same league for the championship - its hard to say. I'm a firm believer though - that with player quality you should succeed anywhere.
